2. The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is coequal, coeternal, and fully God.
Matthew 28:19 – "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
1 John 5:7 – "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

3. The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of humanity, and rose from the dead on the third day.
John 1:1,14 – "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us."
Romans 5:8 – "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

4. Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. It is a gift from God and cannot be earned by works. Repentance and faith in Christ are necessary for salvation.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Acts 16:31 – "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

5. The Church

We believe the Church is a local assembly of baptized believers, who gather to worship God, preach the gospel, and fellowship together. 
1 Corinthians 12:27 – "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
Hebrews 10:25 – "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

6. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe in two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is by immersion, and is for believers only, symbolizing their identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and is to be taken by baptized believers.
Matthew 28:19 – "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
1 Corinthians 11:23-26 – "For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you... that ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come."

7. The Second Coming of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return in bodily form to judge the living and the dead, to establish His kingdom, and to rule and reign forever.
Acts 1:11 – "Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."
Revelation 19:11-16 – "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True... And his name is called The Word of God."

8. The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of the dead. Believers will be resurrected to eternal life, and unbelievers will be resurrected to eternal judgment and separation from God.
1 Corinthians 15:22 – "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."
John 5:28-29 – "Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

9. Eternal Security

We believe that all true believers are eternally secure in Christ. Once saved, always saved; nothing can separate the believer from the love of God.
John 10:28-29 – "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand."
Romans 8:38-39 – "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

10. The Great Commission

We believe that every believer is commanded to go into all the world and preach the gospel, making disciples of all nations and baptizing them. This command is the mission of the Church.
Matthew 28:19-20 – "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..."
Mark 16:15 – "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

At Redeeming Rock Church, we are committed to living by these doctrines, following the teachings of the Bible, and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
